An image of a young man in thought amidst a landscape divided into three color fields of black, lavender and lush green. In that I see the green as the youth of his short past, the lavender is the textural now with suggestions of sweetness of a few flowers but also a denser, not-easy-to-walk through nature that he will have to navigate in order to get to the unknown black field, his future. In this blackness, however, if one look, a few branches can be seen reminding us of the tree of life we are all part of.
This week I am back in Denmark where I grew up. Innately, a trip like this often makes me reflect on my past, and think about the choices I made and what might be next. This pattern of thoughts happens amidst plenty of sweetness of the present in company with dear friends, family and plenty of belly laughter.
