Two birds facing each other, their wings spread out, and their legs standing on some kind of floral design. They are made out of iron as are the poles interspersed like an unfolding fan. All together they have a job to do: to be gate keepers of the garden abstractly suggested behind them.
But it is not clear if the birds are actually behind the poles or in front, and with this uncertainty it opens up the question; are they truly guarding or are the more...free like birds?
This reminds me that there times when we think we need to guard and protect, when we could just as well let go. The letting go, how ever impossible it appears at first, is such a jolt of freedom that you might just get a sense of what it feels like to be spreading those wings up there high in the sky.
