30 blank canvases...

I started with hanging 30 blank 12 x 12 canvases on the wall.
Inspired by a recent trip to Europe, and always inspired by the city I live in, Los Angeles, my cell phone was full of pictures to get into the painting with. Then the rest would follow.
I had given myself the challenge of creating these paintings over the course of 30 days. Working several paintings at the same time, their stories began to emerge - and soon grew into a complete series of 30 paintings done in ... well 34 days.
This was a way for me to create flow by leaving little time to do anything else, and certainly not leaving enough time to second guess the outcome.
As I work intuitively rather than intellectually, the paintings take on an experience of dreaming and a sense of memory.
Art has stories to share, and what starts out as my experience ultimately becomes yours.
